Our Story
Machia and I came to Kona, Hawai’i looking for adventure, like every other millennial on the planet. We thought we were coming for a gap year, but God had different plans for our lives. He used YWAM (Youth With a Mission) to show us identity and purpose. Now we are serving full time at the biggest missions sending base in the world to send out missionaries, and raise up leaders, while also having local impact in the Kona community. We believe God wants to use our family and our friends who partner with us to represent Jesus to the world around us, and fulfill the Great Commission.
Here are some of the main ways we are doing it through…
Discipleship Training School
For the last 7 years, we have been involved in a 6 month discipleship training school. Every year, we train around 250-300 young adults in living like Christ, and short term missions. We have personally trained, and sent hundreds of young adults into nations all around the world!
The Send
The Send is a stadium campaign to mobilize churches across America around the great commission with practical ways they can get involved locally and internationally in a missional lifestyle. We are involved in inner city impact, training, and interest follow up in the cities these campaigns have been held in.
House Church
We helped start and maintain a house church in a low income housing area of Kona that gathers youth every week to learn the bible and how to apply it in their neighborhood and school. From this House Church, our group of friends has raised money for 6 local islanders to be able to do DTS, and go to the nations on short term missions trips!
Community Home
One of our favorite things that God has called us to is discipleship! Machia and I lead a house full of young leaders that we are able to disciple in the every day things of life- from what God is putting on their hearts, to making their beds!
The Ask
Machia and I have been involved with missions for almost 10 years now. 2 years and 2 kids into marriage, we are realizing we need more people around us in order to do what God is calling us to do. We need a team of support, and accountability. Our goal is to raise $3000 per month so that we can sustain a life of missions and leave a legacy for our kids to be able to follow in our footsteps.
